A couple of days ago I wanted to find a video on the famous google owned video sharing website Youtube ,
Anyone who knows the structure of youtube will know that on the main page you have several boxes. One for the videos being watched now , another for the promoted videos, another for the regional videos ,another for the featured and a big box called most popular.
In this big “Most popular” box you’ll find the most popular video of each category, All the videos had more than 100,000 views except one , it was the most popular video of news and politics it had only 5,370 views and yet it figured on the most popular list. It was entitled “Iran’s National Poet ….” Iran's National Poet Speaks Out On Recent Events In Her Country

As an Iranian I was interested in seeing the video, I clicked on it and basically the lady “Simin Behbahani” was reading a poem that can be at least considered anti governmental. The video had only 7 comments and few ratings. So I was surprised how a video with so low number of views , comments and rating could be assigned as the most popular video in a youtube category.
I simply went to the News and Politics category page and chose most popular tab And to my surprise the video was not among the most popular that had each more than 50000 views, instead it was down in the bottom of the page with it’s 5000 views and probably if it wasn’t put on 1st page it wouldn’t even got the 5000 views.
So the question is why youtube hand picked this video to be put as most popular video while it is obvious it is not.
This being said, few days ago google who owns youtube have launched in a hurry a Persian-English / English-Persian translation tool just when the trouble started after the Iranian elections in an attempt according to google to let the Iranians understand what the world is saying about iran and vice versa.
If google is indeed trying to play the role of a media network then it’s can surely become an internal security threat for many countries like china, cuba, iran and probably hundreds more.
While trying to get some details before submitting this article to BeyondNews.info (because I was asked to present proofs so they can accept the article), I stumbled upon an ad that is an event for Monday june 29 (the day the results of recounts will be declared) The ad calls to help support a Free Iran (which is what the anti regime campaign is called), what was interesting is that the ad link is : http://googleads.doubleclick.net/.... But doubleclick.net is a Google owned company, google purchased it in 2007 So why does google accept to run an anti governmental ad ???

Editorial team correction: DoubleClick can be used to track clicks, it doesn’t mean that the above ad is a google ad, it can simply be a way someone tracks the origin and the number of clicks to different sections or events on his own site.
Americans behind the Iranian Unrest
I clicked on the ad and it led me to a page where the organizer at the first glance seems to be an engaged Iranian opposition member. He have created an event and is inviting bloggers to a media warfare on the Iranian regime, here’s some of what he have written on his page:
On Monday June 29th, we ask Bloggers from around the globe to Unite for a Free Iran. … spread the word about how we can help support a Free Iran.
Tweeting about this event use hash tag #FreeIran.
* write a post about the lack of basic human rights and freedoms * ask democratic leaders from around the world to unite and stand up for the citizens of Iran * let the people in Iran know that we are supporting them and their fight for freedom * do what we can to help highlight the disappearance and inhuman treatment of Iranian citizens * arrange/promote Blogger & Twitter Meetups in your town on Monday * write a post offering moral support to the people of Iran * call on the Iranian government to stop arresting peaceful protesters and opposition supporters, and to free those it has already detained * blog to get the people of Iran free and open Internet access * blog for a fair and just election * write a post asking your readers to email the United Nations Human Rights Commission to hold an Emergency Meeting * blog to free the press and remove the controls that have been placed on media and bloggers …
All this seems harmless but it is not, for the simple reason that it will give the Iranian population the impression that their countrymen are fed up with their regime and might incite them to create more instability by bringing several kinds of social fights into the political mess, …. sure women want more rights, sure gays want more rights, sure religious and racial minorities want more rights, sure some minorities want some sort of independence but this has nothing to do with the elections.
The stirring up of post election unrest through this global and internal mobilization have one and only one objective, it’s not about mousawi or ahmadinjad it’s about the entire Iranian regime.
There’s no doubts the US and Israel have tried in the past to topple the regime as a matter of fact they have been trying since the Iranian revolution took place in 1979 and now with iran getting closer and closer to become a nuclear power it is more important than ever to remove this regime and put a puppet president or leader that can be controlled easily.
Back to our subject, as I have said it seemed this guy is an Iranian , but what somehow tipped me to check him is his use of veiled women, some of the veil the women are using is a characteristic of some sunni muslims while iran is mainly Shi'a muslim and an Iranian would never confuse the two types of veils.

So I simply clicked on his username and found out he’s 36 year old male from the united states, I searched his family name “Berkman” to see if there’s such a family name in iran but instead found out that it’s a jewish family name and has no links to Iranians.
So to summarize, this guy who is displaying a big “Where is my vote” on an Iranian hand is not even Iranian, so what vote is he asking about ????
This situation repeats itself on youtube , facebook, twitter, and so on… many are talking and posting about Iran, about the free elections about human rights but the vast majority are not Iranians, and when some Iranians reply to them they attack them accusing them of belonging to the government .
So let’s be clear here, when there was a massacre in Gaza few months ago, why these people that are pretending they are for human rights and freedom and so on … why they did nothing to stop the massacre that killed more than 1500 civilian, more than 500 kid and women, why they did not post, blog, twitter and more recently when protesters in Honduras got killed … why does it seems like the internet reaction is manipulated and politicized ?
