Iran president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have been repeating his Holocaust denial speech a lot.
But now we finally understand why he is enjoying getting all the condemnation, it seems
Mr. Ahmedinjad likes to anger the West.In what seems to be a
childish game from the Iranian PRESIDENT.
Ahmadinejad was quoted by the Iranian News Agency (IRNA) as saying that "the angering of professional man-slayers is a source of pride for us ..."
"The more these imperialists, enemies of humanity and those whose hearts have no love for the human kind run wild, screaming and throwing accusations, we know our path is correct," said Ahmadinejad.
During his latest speech Friday in Tehran University, the president once again questioned the existence of the Holocaust: "If the Holocaust was planned by the west, why won't they let anyone investigate it? They have turned the holocaust into a black box and won't let anyone open and examine it…if this event is so important why don't they let us expose the truth to the whole world?"
Ahmadinejad continued his attack on Israel, saying that "Zionists are the biggest criminals in history, and resisting them is a national duty, a religious commandment and a human obligation. The Zionist regime is a tree with rotten roots.....It is obvious this deceptive regime was founded to fulfill colonialist aspirations, and that there is no logic behind its establishment,"
Allegations of Holocaust denial and anti-SemitismAhmedinejad have made so far several at least 5 controversial speeches concerning the holocaust.
On 14 December 2005, Ahmadinejad made several controversial statements about the Holocaust, repeatedly referring to it as a "myth," as well as criticizing European laws against Holocaust denial.
In a May 30, 2006 interview with Der Spiegel, Ahmadinejad said:
"...there are two opinions on this in Europe. One group of scholars or persons, most of them politically motivated, say the Holocaust occurred. Then there is the group of scholars who represent the opposite position and have therefore been imprisoned for the most part."
On 11 December 2006 the "International Conference to Review the Global Vision of the Holocaust" was held in Iran.The conference was called for by and held at the request of Ahmadinejad. Western media widely condemned the conference and described it as a "Holocaust denial conference" or a "meeting of Holocaust deniers", though Iran maintained that it was not a Holocaust denial conference, commenting the conference was meant to "create an opportunity for thinkers who cannot express their views freely in Europe about the Holocaust"
In his September 2007 appearance at Columbia University, Ahmadinejad stated "I'm not saying that it didn't happen at all. This is not judgment that I'm passing here" and that the Holocaust should be left open to debate and research like any other historical event.
At the 18 September 2009 Quds Day ceremonies in Tehran he stated that "the pretext for establishing the Zionist regime is a lie, a lie which relies on an unreliable claim, a mythical claim, (as) the occupation of Palestine has nothing to do with the Holocaust".He also referred to the Holocaust as a sealed "black box" asking why western powers refuse permission for the claim to be "examined and surveyed".
