Farouk Kaddoumi accused Mahmoud Abbas and Mohammed Dahlan of collaborating with Israel and United States to assassinate Yasser Arafa and the leaders of several Palestinian organizations and resistance movements.

Kaddoumi, the head of the political department of the PLO and the second-most senior leader of Fatah, first leveled the allegations on Tuesday 14 july 2009.
The allegations made by the second highest-ranking leader of the Fatah are based on Transcripts of meetings between Ariel Sharon,Mahmoud Abbas, and former Palestinian security adviser Mohammed Dahlan.

He received these documents from Arafat before his death in November 2004.
the Kaddoumi defended his charge and said: "I have not made accusations against anyone, but I have meeting transcripts which accuse people … Transcripts of meetings between Sharon, Abu Mazen [Abbas], and [former Palestinian security adviser Mohammed] Dahlan.
"I have not accused anyone. I just offered a document. If the document, as they claim, has no basis, they are welcome to prove their point.
"However, I strongly believe that the document is an original one and all information included in it is correct. And, since 2004 until today, the actions of some members of the Palestinian Authority have definitely proven to me that these issues are correct."
The reaction to these declaration were a strong denial from the Abbas block , that went even to the extent of briefly closing the Aljazeera offices (the news network that broadcast the declarations).
Let's analyze the situation1- Did the US and Israel assassinate the leaders of Palestinian political and resistance parties, groups & organizations ?
The Answer is Yes, and it's no secret, many of these leaders were viewed by Israel and the US as terrorists and were assassinated before and after Arafat death.
2- Could these documents have been sent from Arafat before his death?
Again, the answer is Yes, Arafat was old and his mental health was not at it's best, in addition to a paranoia vision due to his age and his long history of dangerous living, or he could have really laid his hands on these transcripts ... no one knows!!
3- Why did Farouk Kaddoumi wait till 2009 why didn't he publish them immediately after Arafat death in 2004 ?
The answer is simply Farouk Kaddoumi did not believe these transcripts at first, because as we mentioned in point 2 , Arafat mental health was not at it's best.
Why now ?
is it a political struggle ?
or a real conviction ?
no one knows ...
