CNN & western media ignoring Dubai ?
Dubai have just inaugurated a multi billion dollar, top of the art, first in the region metro system but the western media seems to prefer silly stories over such an event.
The metro system will be the longest driverless, fully automated metro network system in the world.
And yet on the major western media website there’s no mention of this inauguration that took place 9-9-2009.
For instance CNN headlines haven’t included anything about it,
not on 9-9-2009 nor on 10-9-2009.
Is it caused by the huge number of stories that they have to display ?
I guess not, especially when the top stories are :
Top stories• 'You lie' Obama heckle stirs Internet storm
• CNNMoney: GM to sell stake in Europe's Opel
• Volunteer force strikes back against Taliban
• Death row grandmother in Trafalgar Square plea
• Scores killed in multiple Iraq bombings
• Madoff on tape: How to bamboozle regulators
• Six arrested over filmmaker's murder
• Nepal: 19 dead as bus plunges into river

• Medics suspended after 'lying down' game
• What would you like to ask Perez Hilton?
• Chris Brown picks fight with Oprah Winfrey
• Faberge CEO on first collection in decades
• CNN Wire: Obama steps up call for...
In the above top stories, the metro inauguration is a million times more important than what visitors would like to ask Perez Hilton (a silly hateful semi-famous blogger),
and at least a hundred time more important than Chris Brown fight or Faberge CEO opinion on whatever.
What game is CNN playing ? If you look on the top of the cnn webpage you’ll notice
Edition: U.S. | Arabic | Set Pref And if you are a frequent visitor of cnn, surely you have seen at least once every 3 or 4 visits ads promoting hotels in dubai or projects in dubai.
So if CNN is getting the advertising money from dubai, and if CNN is so interested in the Arabic region to the extent that it has an Arabic edition of the cnn website , then what is the logical reason for ignoring one of the biggest events in the region.
The same situation with other western media outlets that for a strange reason they have decided to remain silent !
