Russia have officially become the world's biggest oil producer
With a production of more than 10 million barrel a day surpassing Saudi Arabia's 8 million barrel per day.
And with it's status as the world's biggest Gas producer, Russia is now the number one energy producer/ exporter worldwide.
This was due mainly to Russia increasing the Oil production while OPEC (Saudi Arabia is a member in OPEC while Russia is not) decreasing the oil price due to relatively low barrel price.
