Share |

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced Ottawa will lend $2.6 billion to Africa

Harper said in a statement, "Canada is the first country to have responded to a critical need of regional banks in this innovative way. Our support recognizes efforts by the African Development Bank to ensure it has sufficient resources to respond quickly to the demands of its borrowing members while it continues its poverty reduction efforts."

And the African Development Bank lends 4 African countries 237 Million for infrastructure projects:

93M loan and a 97M donation to build a 504.5 km road between Congo and Cameroon.

47M donation or grant to Rwanda and Burundi to do infrastructure projects in a bordering region of the 2 countries.
